WELCOME TO ORO VALLEY VFW POST 12222

No One Does More For Veterans

We would be honored to have you join Post 12222, share your experiences and contribute to our mission of supporting each other, our families, and our nation. We are not just a group of warriors but also a family who stands together in times of war and peace. We are Veterans helping Veterans.

Commander's Corner

Commander Jeri Harwood

Comrades, families and friends,

I want to thank all of you who supported our Joint VFW/AUX Raffle to Stock the Store.  We made $1100 to send to the National Home.  Your generosity was greatly appreciated with the Raffle Baskets that were made to assist us in this endeavor.  I also, want to thank VFW Aux Post 5990 from Marana for helping us with this event.

We will also have a raffle and dinner (Taco Bar and Chili) on 11 May at 5:30-7:30. Raffle items are also needed for this event.   See the flyer on the home page.

Since we completed our nominations in our April meeting the new officers will start their new year after Convention in June.  I will list the new officers in the next bulletin, but I want to leave you with this.

Serving as Commander of VFW Post 12222 these past two years has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Together, we strengthened our programs, expanded our outreach, and continued to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans.

As I transition to District 5 as the Jr. Vice Commander, I carry our Post’s spirit, values, and momentum with me. While my role is changing, my commitment to this Post remains unwavering — I will still be here, working alongside you in other positions and supporting our mission every step of the way.

Thank you for your trust, your dedication, and your camaraderie. The future of this Post is bright, and I’m proud to continue serving with you.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you again.
Commander Jeri
